Our company announced that it would be holding a rice dumpling production activity, and the office suddenly became lively. This was the first time we had made zongzi together. Everyone was excited and thrilled. The scene of the emerald-green zongzi sheets rolling in the boiling water seemed to unfold before our eyes.

Everyone prepared the ingredients a day in advance and set up a temporary rice dumpling-making station at the company. On the table were carefully arranged soaked glutinous rice, red beans, crystallized dates, marinated pork belly, golden and oily salted egg yolks, and a bowl of clean water with bamboo leaves floating in it. "Everyone, watch carefully. The rice dumpling leaves should be rolled into a funnel shape, like this." Manager Li, from the Foreign Trade Department, took the lead in the demonstration. Her fingers flexibly turned the rice dumpling leaves, and after three folds and two turns, she managed to form a beautiful triangular cone. She patiently taught us how to make dumplings and demonstrated endlessly. In a short time, she had already taught several colleagues. In less than an hour, everyone had made a whole pot. Everyone was very happy to see the dumplings they had made. The laughter in the office suddenly became particularly warm.

When the steamer was opened, a white mist carrying the fragrance of rice balls instantly filled the entire space. The rice balls we made had different shapes, some were angular and others were round and fluffy. But the moment you bite into them, the softness of the glutinous rice, the gentle fragrance of the egg yolk, and the fat and lean meat of the pork mingled between your lips and teeth, and the feeling of satisfaction was surprisingly consistent. We also prepared rice balls stuffed with candied dates, each carefully tied with a string of a different color. Everyone ate the delicious rice balls they had made themselves and took some home for their families when they left.

The fragrance of mugwort still lingers in the office building, and our memories of the Dragon Boat Festival have mingled with the sweet scent of glutinous rice, not only lingering on our tongues but also permeating everyone's hearts.
