The ceramic composite hammer for crushing mainly uses high-chromium cast iron and other wear-resistant alloy materials. A certain amount of ZTA ceramic particles is combined in the high-wear part of the hammer head. The alloy material supports the ceramic particles. It improves the overall toughness and impact resistance of the hammer. The ZTA ceramic particles have high hardness, which can improve the wear resistance of the hammer head and extend its service life.


ZTA ceramic particles need to be incorporated into the alloy material during the hammer head casting process, generally representing a maximum of 3% of the hammer head weight. To improve hammer performance, the ceramic particles must have an appropriate and uniform size, and the particle shape must be regular. ZTA ceramic particles and metallic materials must be thoroughly mixed, and different composite thicknesses should be selected according to different working conditions. After many process improvements and field tests, the technology of metal-ceramic composites has been mastered. Hammer heads reinforced with ZTA ceramic particles have been successfully applied in various mining crushers, sand production machines, and other equipment.
