Luoyang Zhili New Materials, established in 1992, is one of the leading processing centers for wear-resistant materials in the world, providing high-quality service for wear parts in the mining, cement, power plant, steel, coal, and other industries.

Zhili New Materials

During the operation of the OK mill (vertical mill), due to direct contact with materials, high pressure, high temperature, and wear, some accessories wear out quickly and become the main wear parts. Below are their main wear parts and a brief description:

1. Grinding roller and Grinding disc liner (wear-resistant liner)

Cause of wear: direct rolling of materials, high pressure, and grinding friction. Features: The surface is coated with materials of high hardness and wear resistance (such as cemented carbide or coating layer). The grinding roller sleeves and grinding disc linings need to be checked regularly and replaced or repaired when they are too worn. Replacement cycle: generally 6,000 to 15,000 hours, depending on the hardness of the material (such as clinker, slag, etc.).

2. Separating blades (dynamic powder selector rotor blades)

Cause of wear: Impacted by particles during high-speed rotation, the edges wear easily.

Characteristics: The blade material needs to be wear-resistant (such as high-chromium cast iron or ceramic coating).

Wear affects powder selection efficiency and needs to be repaired or replaced regularly.

3. Sealing device (roller seal, housing seal)

Cause of wear: Dust intrusion causes wear of sealing rings, graphite rings, or rubber parts.

High-temperature environments accelerate aging.

Characteristics: Failure of the seals will lead to leakage of dust and oil and needs to be replaced regularly.

4. Hydraulic System Components

Vulnerable parts: hydraulic cylinder seals, high-pressure oil lines.

Cause of wear: Frequent pressurization causes seal fatigue.

Rupture of oil lines due to vibration or friction.

5. Lubrication System Piping and Filters

Vulnerable parts: lubricating oil piping, filter elements.

Cause of wear: Prolonged oil corrosion, particle contamination, or vibration lead to blockages or leaks.

6. Water Spray System Nozzle

Cause of wear: High-pressure water flow corrodes materials or dust, causing the nozzle opening to expand or become clogged.

Characteristics: Regular cleaning or replacement is necessary to maintain a stable water spray volume.

7. Feeding Device (Air Blocking Valve Blade)

Cause of wear: Material particles corrode the air blocking valve blade.

Characteristics: Blade wear causes air leakage, affecting the pressure balance in the mill.

8. Bearings (roller bearings, reducer bearings)

Causes of wear: Heavy load, high temperature, or inadequate lubrication lead to bearing fatigue or seizure.

Characteristics: Temperature and vibration need to be monitored regularly and replaced in a timely manner.

9. Wear-resistant coating layer (roller/disc surface repair layer)

Causes of wear: After prolonged rolling of materials, the coating layer gradually detaches.

Characteristics: It needs to be repaired by coating, rather than replaced entirely, which can extend the service life of the components.

Other wear parts

Transmission parts: such as elastic coupling blocks.

Air duct lining: Worn and frayed by particles carried by the airflow.

Inspection door seal: Aging caused by high temperature and dust.

Summary

OK Mill's wear parts focus primarily on parts that come into direct contact with materials, high pressure, or high-speed movement. The key to maintenance is:

1. Regularly check the wear level (such as coating thickness, seal condition).

2. Optimize operating parameters (such as pressure and temperature) to reduce losses.

3. Select highly wear-resistant materials or surface treatment technologies.

4. Maintain lubrication and cooling systems operating efficiently.

The actual replacement cycle needs to be comprehensively evaluated based on material properties (hardness, moisture), equipment operating load, and maintenance level.
